A multi-instrumentalist - drums, piano, and guitar - Armando has played the role of Cricket Jerry Allison in productions of Buddy at John W. Engeman Theater in Northport, Long Island, NY (2019), Forestburgh Playhouse, Forestburgh, NY (2019), and the Palace Theater in the Wisconsin Dells (2017).

ANDREW HARVEY

Originally from Buffalo, NY, Andrew currently resides in New York City where he is pursuing a degree in Musical Theatre from Marymount Manhattan College. A musician in his own right, Harvey plays the guitar, piano, mandolin, ukulele, and drum set, most of which are self-taught. He played Buddy to much acclaim at Highlands Playhouse, Highlands, NC, in summer 2019.

JOHN DEWEY

New York, NY

John has played Buddy to great acclaim in two smash-hit productions of the show at the Bucks County Playhouse (New Hope, PA) in 2016 and '17. The second run transferred to the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia (2017) where John once again donned the frames in the lead.

AMERICAN BLUES THEATER TAKES HOME FIVE JEFF AWARDS FOR BUDDY!

The 50th annual Joseph Jefferson Awards, recognizing the work of Equity productions in the Chicago area (held October 22, at the Drury Lane Theatre in Oakbrook, Illinois) saw American Blues Theater take home five Jeff Awards for their 2018 production of Buddy—The Buddy Holly Story, including the prizes for: Best Production, Musical (Midsize); Best Director, Midsize Theater (Lili-Anne Brown); Best Ensemble, Musical; Best Performer in a Principal Role, Musical (Zachary Stevenson); and Best Music Direction (Michael Mahler).

Mayalin is an actress/singer/dancer originally from Houston, TX, who recently relocated to NYC. She is in her early 20s and played Maria Elena in Endstation Theatre Company’s production of Buddy in June 2018 (Lynchburg, VA).

Quinn portrayed the role of the Apollo performer, Jack Daw, and back-up singer/dancer in the Clear Lake concert in the fall 2017 production of Buddy at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre in Lancaster, PA. Also suited to play Keys 2.
