As we leave Chesterfield and head to Edinburgh we wanted to share with you this awesome photo recreation of when Buddy Holly visited Chesterfield on 4th March, 1958!
Buddy and the Crickets were due to play Sheffield later that day as part of their 1958 UK tour when Buddy decided to stop en route and take a stroll through Chesterfield in a leather raincoat he bought in the town. Featuring our own Chris Weeks as Buddy, Stephanie Cremona as Lynn Adams (vocalist with the Ronnie Keene Orchestra), and Joe Butcher as Joe B. Mauldin, we recreated the scene of the three taking a walk in the market square.
