Hunter Henrickson has played the lead role of Buddy as well as various members of the Crickets on a number of productions of the show. “I’m always so thrilled and honored to continue telling the story of such a legend,” says Hunter. With bright vocals and smooth guitar, he brings a vibrant and youthful energy to the rocker’s story that keeps the show moving at an exciting and engaging pace.
Hunter has also stepped into the role of Director and Musical Director, recently for the Cincinnati Landmark Productions (Covedale Center for the Performing Arts) staging of Buddy in 2026. “I’m overjoyed to have been given the opportunity and trust to wear so many hats,” he says. “This show is such a gift. Rave on!” Hunter is based in New York City.
